Trashed Canvases

Bold paintings with incised, scratched and scraped surfaces, taken to an extreme. I obliterate what I’ve made, layering and removing colours till every part resolves, pulling it all apart and building things up again iteratively with no plan in mind.

They seem to bear the marks of violent intervention but to watch me working you’d see it is a noisy, fun, joyous process. My creative-destructive methods leave piles of colourful paint dust on the floor and result in surfaces of an almost-textile softness.
