Canvases

Alongside my work on instantfilm I make semi-abstract paintings on linen or canvas stretched over panels. They allow me to revisit motifs I’ve worked with my whole career such as flags, landscape, furniture, objects, stripes and grids.

I am literal in how I see and paint. I am content that a blue can sit with a rich orange and remain a colour next to others; for no other reason than what it brings to the eye.
