My oil paintings are bold and handmade in their aesthetic. Layered with colour, scratched and glazed and rubbed back and layered over again, they go through many stages before they are finished.

I have long been drawn to the shapes and edges of objects, buildings and words. My focus is often on concepts to do with belonging(s): how the things we choose and use every day hold meaning for us and forge links to culture, home and memory.
