My oil paintings are bold and handmade. Layered with colour, scratched and scraped, glazed and rubbed back then drawn and layered over again, they go through many stages before they are finished.
I have long been fascinated by the shapes and edges of things – objects, buildings and words. My focus is often on stuff to do with belonging(s): items we use every day, pass on or inherit hold meaning for us and forge links to culture and home.
